Meet the
moment.

A vision for how Ontario Tech can use the technology it teaches
to show the world what's happening on campus.

The moment
is here.

Ontario Tech sits at the centre of what Canada needs next: AI, energy and advanced manufacturing.

But the world
doesn't know yet.

Ontario sees about 35,000 AI education searches a month. Only about 1,250 are students looking for a university path.

A year after launch, searches for Ontario Tech's School of AI are too few to measure.

Nuclear and automotive engineering draw about a third of the university interest of mechanical engineering, while the industries behind them are on everyone's mind.

THIS IS THE OPPORTUNITY.

03

Don't just teach
the future.
Use it out loud.

Ontario Tech researches AI, teaches AI and builds AI. The next step is to market itself with it, openly, so everyone can see the technology at work. Every idea that follows is clearly labelled as AI, with people in charge. That's Tech with a Conscience, in action.

04

Hi, I'm
Steven's AI.

  • Steven records once to create the clone. His AI delivers the messages he approves: welcomes, campus updates, event openers, social.
  • Always labelled. It says it's AI in the first line, every time.
  • Steven stays in charge. He introduces it, approves every script, and shows up in person for the moments that need a person.

Most people hide AI clones. Ontario Tech would be the university that shows exactly how it's done, responsibly.

Meet the Ontario Tech
AI Team.

A small team of openly fictional AI presenters, one for each signature area, speaking the languages of Ontario Tech's international markets. A recruitment trip leaves behind a video in the viewer's own language, not a brochure.

Talk to
Ontario Tech.

A website you can have a conversation with. Students, parents and international applicants just ask.

  • Answers only from Ontario Tech's own information. No guessing.
  • Says so when it doesn't know, and points to the right person.
  • In multiple languages.
  • An inside version for staff: "What does our direction mean for my work?"

Meet Kai, Ontario Tech's AI team member. Built on the same principles as Ontario Tech's own AI Learning Agent, turned outward to the people deciding whether to enrol.

07

Put it in
neon lights.

Every tour reveals something new. The world should see it too.

  • A living footage library of labs in use, researchers and students, built a few hours at a time.
  • An internal vision film with energy: Steven moving through labs, the commons and outdoors, staff first.
  • Short vertical video all year for grade 11 and 12 students and their parents, with the message shifting through the school year.
  • Steven's AI and the AI team in every channel, built from the same footage.

Getting it in front
of people.

Great content doesn't spread on its own. It needs paid media behind it.

  • Paid social on Meta, TikTok and YouTube, aimed by age and general location. Platforms won't let us target minors by interest, so the ad itself is built to speak to the right audience.
  • Search ads catch people already looking: program names, "Ontario Tech AI," campus visit searches.
  • Reviewed every night by the Optimization Engine, with hard spending limits.
  • Tracked everywhere we can: clicks, calls, voice agent conversations, visit requests.

The engine
behind it.

The excitement is backed by a system: the Weir Media Performance Engine (WMPE).

Research first

Twelve research studies, a full strategy and a search study already completed for Ontario Tech, with every claim checked against published sources.

A full activation plan

Not just research: the AI clone, the AI team, the voice agent, the channel plan and the launch sequence in this deck are what the system builds, one messaging framework that Steven, the AI team, the voice agent, recruiters and staff all draw from.

The Optimization Engine

Paid search campaigns reviewed every night, with people approving every change and hard spending limits built in.

Measurement

Analytics, lead and call tracking, and what people ask the voice agent, in one dashboard.

11

Before the AI,
the people.

Everything Weir Media builds starts from how people actually think, search and talk about a decision this big, not how a viewbook assumes they do.

Real pain points, not personas. What actually stalls someone before they apply: cost anxiety, distance from home, "is this program even real yet." Not a made-up persona.

Their words, not ours. What a prospective student types into Google is rarely what's in the program page. We write and target in theirs.

Fed straight into everything. That research doesn't stay in a slide. It shapes the keywords, the ads, the pages, and every piece of content built off it.

Get the language right. Everything else follows.
12

AI.done the
Ontario Tech way.

Bold ideas, built on rules that make them safe to say yes to.

  1. Always disclosedEvery AI voice and face says it's AI.
  2. Always consentedNo one is cloned without permission.
  3. People in chargeHumans approve what AI says.
  4. Facts onlyAI speaks from Ontario Tech's verified information.
  5. People firstAI extends reach. It never replaces a personal moment.
13

Start now.
Launch this fall.

Now

The internal vision film, shot with energy. Start the footage library. Set up tracking.

Next

Build Steven's AI clone, the first AI team members and the program voice agent, with the messaging framework behind them.

This fall

Launch it live at the Physical AI event. Always-on content for students and parents begins.

Then

Take the AI team international, grow the library, measure and improve.

What we need

A yes to the direction, time with Steven, access to labs and people, and contacts in communications, IT and privacy.

14

Meet the
moment.

Ontario Tech already has the story. Let's make sure everyone sees it.
